It’s true, you can drink the wonderful Vonu Beer brewed on the islands of Fiji and exported around the world, and not only will you get to enjoy a full-bodied lager but you will also help save the endangered sea turtles. And if you don’t drink it they will kill a baby sea turtle… OK just kidding they are not going to kill a baby sea turtle if you don’t drink their beer but every bottle you buy helps contribute to conservation efforts.
Read about the Turtle Conservation Program at http://mesfiji.org/projects/turtle-conservation-project and make sure you are drinking an ice-cold Vonu while you read it.
Normally I would not use my immense power as a world-famous (well not quite famous yet) food blogger to advertise any particular program but as I am an avid scuba diver and absolutely love seeing turtles (they rank just below manta rays) I feel it is my duty to promote this great beer and their turtle conservation efforts.
So remember, if you are of legal drinking age, drink Vonu beer and help save the turtles. And if you are not of legal drinking age you can contribute to The Mamanuca Environment Society by becoming a member at http://mesfiji.org/about/becoming-a-member or contribute to one of the many other conservation programs out there.
And remember always drink responsibly

Hang has been bugging me about my over enthusiastic support of turtles and lack of photos of my turtle saving beverages so I am saving another turtle and thought I had better take a picture and post it.
